Often the inscriptions on headstones will provide much more information than is shown within the parish registers. As an example, looking at the Duncton Parish Register, there is the burial entry for William MACKEY only records his burial date 17th May 1780.
The headstone not only reveals that William MACKEY died 8 days previously but his age and the name of his uncle! In this particular case, consulting the Baptism Records shows that he was not baptised in Duncton.
James Brockhurst Publications cross-reference this vital information with our parish register transcriptions giving you even more details and dates about your ancestors.
Armed with this information, it may be that you may wish to visit your ancestors at some time in the future. Again James Brockhurst Publications can help you with an increasing range of churchyard plans showing you the location of your ancestors final resting place.
Right: An example of one of our churchyard plans is illustrated, this being St, Mary`s at Duncton
